Transmission of Certain Policies and Regulations to the Minister of Education Policy

Purpose

To provide a modality to inform the Minister of Education of certain college policies and regulations as required by Article 19.1 of "Lois sur les collèges d'enseignement général et professionnel" (General and Vocational Colleges Act).

Policy

The Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs, as delegated by the Director General, will inform the Minister of Education as appropriate.

Procedure

  1. The Director of the appropriate college service will provide a copy of the relevant documentation to the Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs. Relevant documentation is defined as any regulation or policy (or change in regulation or policy) that is adopted by Vanier College as required by the "régime des études collégiales" or ministerial regulation and every by-law made under section 19 and 24.5 of General and Vocational Colleges Act.
  2. Concerned regulations or policies are in effect upon their adoption by the Vanier College Board of Directors with the exception of those regulations which require the approval of the Minister of Education.
  3. The Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs will provide the relevant documentation to the Minister of Education.
